We Provide The Best Products

KANTHA is a grassroots initiative in Bangladesh and India that emphasizes teamwork, artisan traditions, and women's empowerment. Founded by Ms. Shaila Arzu and Neel Kanth Seth, this project brings together skilled and untrained artisans, particularly Islamic women, to generate income through traditional embroidery.

Our story began in 1995 with a small kantha boutique, evolving into a vibrant community of over 150 artisans. Our journey, marked by dedication and growth, remains fueled by the same passion that sparked our beginnings. We've expanded our team and enhanced our capabilities, ensuring superior customer service and fostering creativity.

Our mission is to empower KANTHA artisans, promote gender equality, and provide economic opportunities. We envision a future where KANTHA craftsmanship is globally recognized for its artistic and cultural significance.

Craftsmanship: We specialize in various products like sarees, kurtas, bags, and home decor, blending innovation with tradition. Our aim is to redefine KANTHA embroidery, celebrating its beauty and historical importance.

KANTHA, an ancient form of needlework, reflects the aspirations and creativity of rural women in Bangladesh, transforming discarded materials into art. Different regional styles showcase its diversity, while the basic running stitch serves as the foundation of this intricate craft.

Kantha has seven distinct types, from cozy coverlets to decorative pillowcases, each embodying unique patterns and meanings. The craft not only preserves cultural heritage but also provides a pathway for economic growth and recognition for women artisans.
